This project involves working with CLOUDY, a code that simulates the ionization of interstellar gas clouds and produces the expected measured spectra of the stellar population. One of the models used in this simulations is BPASS (Binary Population and Spectral Synthesis), which simulates binary evolution in its modelling and uses detailed stellar evolution models. More information can be found on the BPASS website.
Aims of the project:
- Finishing running CLOUDY models with a finer grid and get them all together in a consistent way.
- Run them for other stellar synthesis models apart from BPASS.
- Compile and interpolate the models.
- Script to load the interpolated full models and interpret emission line ratios for the different models, providing the uncertainties.
